is knowing, that whenever positive energy comes into light, follow it. Negativity isn’t welcome. :-)

Well, it’s been 7 days since I began using Skincerity, a breathable barrier masque that apparently tones, tightens and hydrates not only the face and neck, but other parts of the body as well.

As my husband Randy and I continue to take before-and-after photos of our progress, there is one thing that I’ve been looking for in terms of “immediate” results, although I’ve chosen to be patient – scars from a dog attack.

On January 19, 2006, a white German shepherd named Max lunged at my face and punctured holes above my left eyebrow and in the bridge of my nose. He weighed close to 160 lbs. at the time, and without Randy who jumped in within a nick of time, the attack would’ve been much worse.

Fortunately I had a doctor at the hospital who addressed my wounds with the utmost precision. After just a few weeks the scars were hardly noticeable to friends and family, and by now they seem like a forgotten memory. I’d still like to see if this product can at least diminish the unsightly reminders of that traumatic day in 2006.

The results? Well, in the last 7 days of using Skincerity I’ve seen a dramatic difference in the overall texture in my face and hands. I mean, after residing in South Florida for almost 8 years I’ve noticed unavoidable traces of skin discoloration and even sunspots. After using the product for just a few days I now see a certain “glow” in our faces which I’m sure didn’t occur before using Skincerity.

In terms of the scarring, they do seem more difficult to detect, mainly because they are prety faint to begin with. But since this is a 30-day challenge, I intend to stick with it and keep on a’bloggin. Stay tuned to see our before and after photos. :-)

Where am I going with this? You should probably know how it began before I write how I got here…

I don’t usually promote products (yes, I promoted the movie “Knuckle Draggers” in my last post), but I don’t usually put my name (or my face) behind anything that might pose skepticism or cynicism. I’m neutral and non-biased by nature.

Well, a few days ago I was introduced to  product that, instead of promoting at first, I’d try it – AND blog about it. It’s called Skincerity Nightly Breathable Barrier®,  the world’s only patented breathable masque that dramatically improves your skin without changing your regimen. It is a simple-to-use real medical breakthrough that dramatically improves the health, appearance, softness, and tone of your skin with visible results in just days!

Since my skin is EXTREMELY sensitive and my beauty regimen consists of plant-based eye creams and 100% shea butter (can’t live without it), I wanted to make sure that whatever I’d apply to my skin would not irritate it. Also, I learned that I wouldn’t have to change my current regimen. Score!!

Most importantly, however, I wanted to be certain that the product was never nor will it EVER conduct animal testing. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it didn’t.

My 30-day challenge will begin in the next few days, in which I’ll be posting before and after photos. Let’s see how it goes!

Knuckle Draggers

Knuckle Draggers

On May 21, my husband Randy and I went to the screening of “Knuckle Draggers” at the Delray Beach Film Festival. Randy’s longtime friend, Paul Alessi is one of the main stars and producer of the film, and when we were invited to the screening we jumped at the chance

I’m not one to ever write reviews for movies (good or bad), but when artistry such as this film comes along, I felt compelled to share my thoughts.

In three words, I LOVED IT. My reasons? I related to not only the characters, but to the film itself. It’s a movie that caters to both men and women, single and married. Here’s more…

‘Knuckle Draggers’ takes a realistic, but comic look at how the behaviors of men and women have evolved very little since the caveman times. When Ethan, the needy nice guy, is dumped by his fiancée, he asks his misogynist older brother Kyle to help him win her back. Kyle tries to teach Ethan how to act like ‘a real man’ and to never put a woman on a pedestal. Repulsed by his brother’s harsh views on how to treat women, Ethan ignores his advice and ventures out into the dating world, where he slowly realizes that everything Kyle says seems to be true. – courtesy of  Delray Beach Film Festival site

We sometimes look towards reality shows or true-to-life documentaries to find the answers to questions that our real life cannot give us. Well, you may not find the answers in “Knuckle Draggers,” but you will find a genuinely funny movie (with an impeccable cast) that is sure to please.

Check out the trailer and tell me what you think.

“Keep yourself simple, good, pure, serious, and unassuming; the friend of justice and godliness; kindly, affectionate, and resolute in your devotion to duty. Marcus Aurelius (121 – 180)

As I have taken some time in the last week to meditate,  I have realized once again how crucial it is to calm the mind and be One. Those who watch tv (not just the news, but ANY tv) can inadvertently absorb the chaos of our economy, worldwide downsizing and many other negatives which hinder our inner growth and journey to bliss.

We can be victims of our experiences, or we can be victors of them. By sitting in silence; not free of thought, accepting of it, taking just a few minutes out of each day to just – BE, one can BE the voice, BE the leader, BE ONE.

I used to think that my desire to help people see their true potential came after surviving the 9/11 attack, but this “wanting” to reach people on a much deeper level came long before the tragedy.

When asked why anyone would not believe their own uniqueness could overcome any challenges, I speak my truth.

There are many facets to the beliefs that one embraces in their own consciousness. However, the shift of these same beliefs can be attained by knowing one’s true self.

In this 15-minute keynote speech I discuss in depth my own challenges that I’ve overcome in order to help others in their own journey. My passion to reach people on a deeper level is what I’m here to do, and it’s an ongoing process.

The Gift (continued)

My Empowerment Within Coaching Program is focused on the specific facets of your life that create the reality you experience daily: Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual.

Each of us has experienced successes and/or blocks in one or more of these areas. In those moments of the experience, often we are thinking, “how could I get more of, or conversely, less of that experience?” Through the Empowerment Within program, you will develop awareness within yourself of how you direct your life and ultimately create the life you are now living.

What I’ve done is combine the information from this powerful guide with my own method of coaching, which I’m so very excited to share with the world.

Along with the EW system, I’ll be creating JV partnerships for those who share in the same belief systems. Not only the law of attraction, but the law of abundance is ours to share as well.

It’s time to empower your life!

Can’t believe that after years and years of running a business, modeling and now professionally speaking, I can sit down and actually post my first blog. Nice!

This will be the official blog.

A Gift…

“Awareness is the first step towards change” – Cheryl Richardson

I received a gift the other day…it was the gift of awareness.

Sure, awareness comes from within; taking the outside perspective. But when you receive a powerful guide which taps into the true aspects of YOU, this indeed is a gift.

I will be introducing something to the world that I have been in search of my entire life, and only when I released the desire from my consciousness did I allow it to manifest.

I’m offering my knowledge by offering the Empowerment Within Coaching System.

Q. What is it?
A. The system delves into the mental, physical, emotional AND spiritual aspects of existence.

I will show my students how to “attract their True self”, therefore helping them see EXACTLY where their most powerful strengths exist.

By looking into the “Now” of your consciousness, you can finally be aware of what you want, as opposed to what you don’t want.

My Mission…

Wisdom is attained through the lessons we acquire from our experiences, and my experience as a survivor of domestic abuse and of the September 11th tragedy have quickly opened my eyes to what is truly important. I listened attentively to my inner voice, which made me realize that I am to be a voice of hope and healing to the world.

My mission is to share what lessons I’ve learned in this journey and continue dedicating my life to help people reach their fullest potential.

By focusing on all four points mentioned earlier (mental, physical, emotional and spiritual), all equal in importance, one can truly find his/her purpose – and empowerment them.

Stay tuned…

In my journey since my survival of 9/11, there was at the time a shameful secret I kept from the world before that day.

I was in a relationship for 11 years, 9 of which were spent being abused – physically, mentally and emotionally. In my interview with Tonya Ramsey of Journey to Self Radio, I discuss my ordeal in depth in the hopes that someone who is a relationship such as this or is healing from the past can possibly gain their own insight and strength from this interview.

A BIG thank you to Tonya for helping me share my story…
